About Hooper C. Dunbar
Hooper C. Dunbar was raised in Los Angeles, experiencing old Hollywood and the creativity it spun. Dunbar’s artwork intertwines elements of faith, nature, spontaneity, movement, chaos and calm. His meticulous technique allows for a viewer to delve into his unconscious, his mind and his soul. It shows a landscape of his outer-world and his inner-self, allowing and promoting appreciation of one’s surroundings and appreciation for one’s own self. His usage of light allows for etherealism to be present in all his artwork, self-pronouncing it as spiritual abstract expressionism. Dunbar’s work is included in many private collections in London, New York, Sydney, Verona, Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Haifa, Israel. His paintings have been exhibited at the United Nations Offices of the Baha'i International Community (BIC) and the executive offices of SOHO CHINA in Beijing.

About Steven Janssen
A native Angelino, Steven Janssen attended California State University at Long Beach where he studied life drawing and painting. After leaving college he began working for a small production company in the art department. While there he learned the craft of scenic painting and prop making on productions for Showtime, TLC, ABC and The Golden Globes telecast.

Combining the human form with organic abstract movement with a hint of eroticism soon became Janssen’s signature style. Numerous gallery exhibits followed, gaining collectors over the years which eventually led him to open his own gallery in downtown Palm Springs in 2006. Janssen closed the gallery in 2009 due to a downturn in the economy and a desire to move back to Los Angeles. As 2017 approached and as the tourism in Palm Springs reached an all-time high, he carefully sought out the perfect space to relaunch JANSSEN ARTSPACE and soon found himself immersed in all the elements he missed, the desert, being a curator and business.
