SOULJOURN YOGA HOSTS SEVA SIEM REAP,
A YOGA RETREAT IN “THE KINGDOM OF WONDER”

LOS ANGELES – July 13, 2018Souljourn Yoga Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness and funds for girls’ education in developing countries across the globe through the healing practice of yoga, is hosting its third yoga retreat this year, titled “Seva Siem Reap,” in Cambodia.

The retreat will benefit the Ponheary Ly Foundation Girls’ Dormitory, which houses, feeds, and shelters 17 of the brightest and most academically ambitious female students in Cambodia. These students come from districts in Siem Reap where no secondary education is provided. In addition to volunteer experience at the Girls’ Dormitory, the retreat will include a $500 tax-deductible donation to the Ponheary Ly Foundation.

Join Alison Riazi, Lisa Bermudez, and Souljourn Yoga Foundation founder Jordan Ashley, on a life-changing journey to discover the rich culture and intense history of Cambodia, the “Kingdom of Wonder.”

On this fully-immersive 10-day adventure, attendees will spend time exploring the ancient ruins of Angkor Wat, getting lost in the textiles and food stalls of the glowing night market, and laying poolside amongst the Frangipani, alongside daily yoga sessions. Attendees will also get the unique opportunity to connect with the girls of the Ponheary Ly Foundation through volunteer English and Yoga lessons at the Girls Dormitory, while experiencing the local culture and making a true impact.

Inspired by seva, the Sanskrit word and yogic principle of selfless service, Souljourn will live out its mission to raise awareness for girls’ education and empowerment in the beautiful and resilient Siem Reap during this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

The Seva Siem Reap retreat runs September 21, 2018 – September 30, 2018. Rates vary based on accommodation selections.
